The Digital Gun Vault desktop app is free to download, free to use, and will remain completely free. The free tier supports smaller vaults. Pro removes record limits and unlocks advanced attachment, scanning, export, and sharing workflows.

Over-limit vaults
Your records stay viewable.
Free users can open `.dgv` vaults that already contain more than 3 firearms or more than 3 accessories. Those over-limit vaults must be read-only unless Pro is active, but viewing existing records is never blocked.
Digital Gun Vault should never prevent someone from viewing their existing firearm records, serial details, photos, or NFA paperwork because a vault is over the Free limit. Pro controls editing and advanced workflows, not access to a user's own existing information.

Beta access
TestFlight and beta builds get Pro features automatically.
TestFlight and beta users must receive all Pro features automatically so testers can validate the full app surface before broader release.
Release guardrail
Production builds do not get the beta override.
Release and main builds must not receive the beta entitlement override. In production builds, Pro-only features require active Pro.

The app remains free. Pro is optional.
